Tisser avec un métier à cadres comporte un peu plus d’étapes qu’avec un métier à peigne envergeur. Voici ma façon d’installer une chaîne sur un métier, mais il en existe bien d’autres.

Réaliser des motifs avec un métier à peigne-envergeur
S’il est impossible de transposer des brefs pour 4 cadres sur un métier à peigne envergeur, en revanche, former des motifs avec des flottés en chaîne ou en trame est facile, et permet d’élargir les possibilités de ces petits métiers. Il faut pour cela une baguette à sauté, ou baguette à patron, le fameux « pickup stick » en anglais. On peut en utiliser plusieurs à la fois, mais là je vais vous montrer un motif simple avec une seule baguette.

Tisser avec un métier à peigne-envergeur
Les métiers dit « à peigne-envergeur » sont de petits métiers peu encombrants, parfois pliants, et bon marché. Ils diffèrent des métiers habituels parce qu’ils n’ont ni cadres ni lisses, mais un peigne-envergeur. Ce peigne est rigide, et doté de trous pour laisser passer les fils de chaîne. Avec ce type de métier, on ne peut tisser que de l’armure toile, en contre-partie, cela laisse libre-court à votre créativité.
J’explique ici comment démarrer sur ce type de métier, car il existe très peu de documentation en français. Par contre, je ne vais pas rentrer dans les détails, car il y aurait de quoi écrire un ouvrage 😉
